The Yonder Circle

Remote teams struggle with unique challenges. Yonder’s mission is to make “remote” work. We help companies ensure success with their remote staff to build employee retention, strengthen productivity, and tap into an unlimited talent pool while creating jobs and opportunities for more people.

Since 2013, the Yonder Conference has provided a forum for leaders of remote teams and distributed companies to get together to share notes and discuss best practices to build happy, productive, distributed teams. In 2016, Jeff Robbins started the Yonder Podcast to share this information with a larger audience. Today, we're excited to announce the next evolution of this discussion:

Yonder Circle

Like the Yonder Conference, Yonder Circle is a curated, private, invitation-only, guided discussion and support group for company leaders and managers of remote teams. It’s a private place for you to share your struggles of running a remote team with other people who have struggled with similar issues. Instead of having to fly somewhere and be away from your work for several days, we will meet monthly online via video conference in a casual, yet moderated environment, where we can solve issues together and connect you with the resources you need to create a productive, successful, and happy remote team.

We've all had the experience of attending a conference and coming away feeling like we're left with more questions than answers. This collaborative, adaptable format allows us to dig in together and surface those confusing problems that we keep setting aside, finding solutions so we can feel more confident about moving our companies forward.

Each month we will focus on a specific topic such as:

  • Hiring, talent acquisition, and onboarding

  • Finance and taxes

  • Legal issues

  • Management and productivity

  • Tools and communications technologies

  • Remote work collaboration

  • Culture and connection

  • Building trust and respect amongst the team

  • Hybrid teams and remote work transitions

  • Battling employee isolation

  • Disciplinary actions, dismissals, and difficult conversations

  • Company retreats and in-person get-togethers

  • Sales and marketing strategies

  • Building legitimacy as a “virtual company” with “virtual employees”

  • What parts of remote work are easier? What’s harder?

  • Teaching employees self-management and time-management

Yonder Circle is limited to 18 members and meets for 10 months so that we can get to know one another, foster trust, encourage friendships, and build a network of peers.

Cost: $2,000 for one year
