Live stream: Remote Work Q/A With Jeff Robbins
Here’s the archive of the live stream:
For nearly 4 years, we’ve been consistently posting content about remote work on Yonder.io. It has really added up! We’ve posted over 120 articles and over 80 podcast interviews. We’ve also run both in-person and virtual conferences for leaders of remote teams and distributed companies. Having run a 60+ employee web strategy/design/development agency for 11 years, Jeff Robbins has enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience. It’s also been wonderful to have deep podcast discussions and learn from others. Yet, it often felt like we were on the cutting edge of work - ahead of the curve - not yet to the tipping point. Until now.
Turn on just about any news outlet this week, and they’re talking about remote work. Companies are trying to remain productive despite the quarantine. We need to keep our businesses in business. But if you’ve been following the Yonder content for any amount of time, you’ll know that remote work doesn’t just happen. It’s not quite as easy as sending everyone home and saying, “work!”
So we’ve been thinking about how we can help workers, managers, and company leaders get their heads around this whole remote work thing. Here’s what we’ve come up with:

Bring your questions and Jeff will answer as many as he can in 1 hour. Cannot make it live? Post a comment below with your question in advance. We haven’t used our YouTube channel for much over the past few years, but subscribe now to be notified of when we go live and when we post videos.
If you know anyone currently struggling with any aspect of remote work, please let them know about this event. Jeff will do his best to answer everything from “How do I know if people are working?” to “Why do I hear an echo on our conference line when I talk?” or “How are we going to celebrate the March birthdays without cake in the main conference room?”
We are not going to preach. We are not going to sell anything. We’re not going to tell you that remote work is the utopian future of work. You can listen to the podcast for all of that. For this event, we’re going to stay as practical, pragmatic, and empathetic as possible. We know that a lot of companies and workers are struggling. We want to help.
In the meantime, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. And share this event with anyone who might need help.
